Mid-year Review

Happy new month Loves! A Mid-year review is in order.

I will explain why in just a bit. If you are new here, this series was formerly known as Keepsakes and memories.  I switched things up a bit by using keywords. For example, a post on the account of  June is a mid-year review. This post is inspired by Boho Berry. Here’s my June mid-year review!

Feel free to share your two cents on the few things you agree or disagree on in the comment section.

 THIS YEAR SO FAR

has been like no other! I am who I am and where I am because of the choices I keep making. I would be lying if I said I have a FAVORITE MEMORY. But a suitable answer would be the keepsake memories. Time spent with my family and friends remain as my fondest memories. (primarily because y love language is quality time)

My BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT

thanks to you my blog family is the consistency of the output on this little corner of the internet.Thank you fam!Especially the ones from Uganda after the introduction of the social media tax.

THE  BIGGEST CHALLENGE FOR ME.

I think for me itis staying motivated. I am a bit overly risk-averse. For the risks I have taken, I have been afraid of actualizing my full potential. Sometimes it is as subtle as having negative vibes for something I have not attempted. It reminds me of the quote below.

FOR THE REST OF THIS YEAR,

I purpose to reset! Re-Align and Rewire! I cannot pour from an empty cup.

TIME WELL SPENT IN THE LAST HALF

For me, it is definitely having me-time. Tryphena Yebobah writes that “no amount of self-improvement can make up for any lack of self-acceptance.

THE SUCCESSES

 I am registering so far are focused on designing a life I love.

I THINK HERE’S WHAT COULD HAVE GONE BETTER;

Being open enough to receive love and care when it comes in full. Like Akosua writes, it isn’t how the love comes, it is whether it makes me whole or small.

 PROGRESS TOWARDS GOALS.

I shared all about it in last month’s post. Read it here.

Caveat;

ABOUT NEW SKILLS I AM LEARNING.

I stumbled upon this tweet.

BREAK-THROUGH MOMENT.

My memory is still loading……. Was there any moment this year where I felt like you broke through a barrier or mental block? Here’s what I can say though;

SMART DECISIONS

Honestly, these have not been my strong suit for the greater part of the year. In fact, I am far from smart because I am making some girl boss moves and I am not wearing my smarty pants! Bet you didn’t see that coming.

SETTING INTENTIONS

Is very essential for the woman I am becoming. Yes, it is going to cost me people, relationships, spaces and material things. I am choosing her over everything just like the quote suggests.

MY UNFINISHED BUSINESS.

I am pretty sure the procrastinator in me is excited to hear this. But! I will continue throwing my heart over the bar and trust that the rest of my body will follow!

2018 WILL FEEL SUCCESSFUL IF…

 Imagine it’s December 2018. Complete this sentence and write about what a successful year would look like for you. Let me know in the comment section below.

    2018 will feel successful on a personal note if i win on all or at least most of the fronts I’m fighting on. They are so many and all equally important.

    Otherwise great piece.. you should give yourself more credit in the smart decisions area, making girl boss moves requires a certain intellect.
