For  everyone your contact list

So instead of spamming our inboxes with send this message to ten people for good luck (btw can this please stay in 2018)how about inviting them over for a game or two.! Yes the ultimate gift guide for them has got to be an entertaining game!F or my  Kenyan family, there’s an amazing board game called Kenya at 50 which you should have started playing like yesterday. While for my Ugandan people, we have our own Ugandan charades developed by SOOO Many Stories called Otyo.Yes, then we can think of the other games like monopoly, uno, matatu and the like.

For  creative or artsy one!

The ultimate gift guide for them would be an amazing 2019 planner or notebook for them to spill their creative juices. I am a proud member of the artsy people’s association are #team-no-sleep. I like the way Brooke Hampton puts it;

No. we don’t need more sleep. It’s our souls that are tired, not our bodies. We need nature. We need magic, adventure, freedom, truth, stillness. We don’t need more sleep. We need to wake up and be alive.

For  your neighbors and relatives from the diaspora

I saw you judging me for listing the neighbors! The ultimate gift guide for these people is the easiest. It comprises an assortment of collected wines and tea bags from all over the world. I know what you are thinking, am I crazy for putting teabags as a present ?I mean ,we all can use some positive-tea. (pun intended). days to do this! Several supermarkets well stocked with these beverages!, Or you can simply exchange with your relatives from the diaspora!

For the employers and employees

Now, the ultimate gift guide for these people originates from I hack I discovered during one of my internships. More often than not, these people are always in suits and ties and fleece is no respecter of the formal dress code. It literally sticks onto every dull colored cloth. But a fleece remover may be just the best thing to gift these people! Moving on swiftly to the next category of people!

For the travelling type

Am I the only one who thinks traveling is a basic need? But traveling in comfort is a luxury that not many can afford!H ere’s the good news though things are changing for us in 2019. The ultimate gift guide for the people that love traveling is headphones! Not just any, but those that have noise cancelling effects so you can stay calm cool and collected as you commute from your school or workplace to another city or town for your mini vacation. These are available on Jumia, Amazon. In case you are wondering how to get them shipped here, this link can help.

For the new mom, housemate or roommate

Before I get into this, let me burst your bubble, it is not an appliance. The ultimate gift guide for these people is actually scented candles. I mean who would not want their house or room to smell like everything there is to smell nice in this world.

I also learned a new life hack from my cousins the other day, if you are in dire need of an air freshener but you don’t have access to a supermarket simply use fabric softener like star soft that comes packaged in a sachet and put it under your car seat! Voila! New hack! New car! Who dis? Btw, since you have made it this far into the blog, my goal as of the first quarter is to start driving again !Have you guys started listing your goals for the first quarter? Do you need help? Care to share with the rest of us below?.

Okay, guys, there you have it ! An ultimate gift guide for last minute shopping and wellness essentials for 2019. Is there anything you would like from the secret Santa on the blog? Let us know in the comment section below!

    • Patsy Mugabi

  6. Humphrey Akampumuza

Your gift options are amazing. Someone Already got me noise canceling headphones as a gift(yey) this Christmas. So I guess that proves your list is on point because I’ve really enjoyed them here in the village.
Though Taking into consideration that in my ugandan culture people don’t give gifts usually, choosing to give gifts would be a new thing on one’s budget. So probably you could add some low priced gifts or gifts that cover a large set of people at once like say a game like monopoly(saw that somewhere in the article).
    Merry Christmas. Spread love

    • Patsy Mugabi

I got you man!In fact it is coming right up as a blog post, Thank YOU Humfour for sharing your two cents!

  7. Tsubie Trishie

My roommate would love the scented candles. Love love love
Plus I always thought of stocking games but never got myself to do so. Thank you Patsy. I’m glad I read this.

    • Patsy Mugabi

Thanks Trish! Scented candles always do the trick!I saw some pretty vanilla ones at Banana boat for 8000UGX
